Also called OPG, is a 2D image that captures the jaws, teeth and surrounding structures in a single image. Due to low dose of radiation, this radiograph has low resolution and should not be used to diagnosis of subtle changes like small carious lesion or root canal therapy.

However, it serves as the most popular radiograph for screening the entire oral cavity.
